RSS feeds for library related topics

Tried Topix and Technorati, since Feedster site it was was not currently available.

Entered search on each for two subjects on which I am trying to gather infor and stay current:
1. Public libraries and e-government services; and
2. MS VISTA platform (Recently got a new laptop with this, plus my aunt of 93 years also got
one, and wants to stay current - she's great!

Could not find too much on first topic - only 7 hits, and some I had already read by doing independent searches. Still was helpful to find in one place.

Found too much and either too technical or just people's personal opinions. Need to refine my search better before subscribing to an RSS feed.

RSS Feeds - Impressions

Finding time to do/read/view all the things we want to do in a day; that's a recuring challenge for many of us.

RSS is a great way to expedite your need to keep current, and also keep focused on just the topics you need the latest information on.

At home however, I also will be subscribing to feeds on gardening and vegetarian recipes. I love to garden and need to eat, so RSS feeds will help streamline my search for information on these topics.

Break out of the box. That's what we're encouraged to do for the BCl TLC 2.o project.

So, even though, I'm typing this post within a clearly defined box, I am visualizing it as having no barriers or boxes that will prevent me from expanding my learning.

Reviewed the 71/2 Habits of Successful Lifelong Learners, and realize that I really need to making these habits a much more disciplined part of this project. I had created an earlier blog, but then had to go away and can't seem to find it/remember it.

I had created a Learning Contract and signed it, but I realize I now need to be more disciplined in reviewing it to get the Big Picture of what I hope to learn by the end of this project.

So, I'm starting again. As the podcast for Thing # 3 says, "Its's never too late; its never too soon for learning.

I will, I can, I do want to learn.
